Steven Appleton, recently appointed as an Associate with the firm, has been admitted to a National group that specialises in legal services for older people and their carers after passing the entry exam with flying colours.
The Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) is an association of lawyers who specialise in legal services for older people and their carers. Members of the SFE, such as Steven have a wealth of experience within this niche legal area and are only granted the opportunity to join after a substantial amount of time working for elderly clients.
The aim of the national association is to improve the knowledge and service provided on legal issues including, tax planning, wills, enduring powers of attorney, long-term social and health care and other retirement issues.
A vital resource as the elderly population increases, a trend which is predicted to continue as research shows that within 20 years there will be over three million people in the UK over the age of 85 years old.
Steven comments: “I’ve been providing legal services to older clients for several years and my membership of the Association will enable me to provide our clients with the further assurance that Last Cawthra Feather both supports the older population and has a wide ranging expertise in proving legal services to them.
