Increase in National Minimum Wage


The government has announced the next annual increase in the National Minimum Wage, to take effect on 1 October 2008.  The rates will be as follows:
 
Adult rate:            £5.73 (currently £5.52)
18-21 year olds:    £4.77 (currently £4.60)
16-17 year olds:    £3.53 (currently £3.40)
