Employment

Through-out the year, the staff at Last Cawthra Feather contribute to the local community through various charitable activities in both cash and in kind, examples of these activities include monthly dress down days, charity raffles, sponsored events, cake stalls and voluntary projects.  Our employees are always encouraged to participate in fundraising and community projects wherever possible.

Each year, the staff at Last Cawthra Feather are asked to vote for charities in which they would like to support during that year.  The 2010 selected charities include: Marie Curie Cancer Care and The British Heart Foundation.

Below are some of the projects from 2009:

Bradford Soup Run Christmas Collection

In 2009 instead of sending Christmas cards to our colleagues and friends at work we instead asked staff, to make a donation of woolly hats, scarves, gloves and chocolate to the Bradford Soup Run.  The Bradford Soup Run is a registered charity which offers free food, clothing and blankets to the homeless people of Bradford.

Over 150 festive Santa’s took part in 2km run around Clarence Dock in Leeds.
